Is That Really Govinda? Actor’s New Moustached Look Sparks Confusion

New photos of 90s Bollywood icon Govinda have taken the internet by surprise. Sporting a fresh moustache, voluminous hair, oversized sunglasses, and a sharp tweed three-piece suit paired with a crisp white shirt, the actor looked dramatically different from his earlier public appearances. However, what caught even more attention was the unusual background of the photo — seemingly taken in a location scattered with trash, leaving fans puzzled.

Internet Reactions: Praise, Nostalgia, and Confusion

The photos quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions across social media. Many fans were thrilled to see the star’s new avatar and hoped it signaled an imminent comeback.
“Sir, when are you making your comeback? 😢❤️ Please tell us,” wrote one admirer.
Another fan added, “Ky baat hai, old energy vibes!” while someone else gushed, “The Best of Bollywood 🙌🙌 Finally, a perfect character look on you!”

Others complimented the moustachioed look, saying, “Looking even more handsome in the moustache — Bollywood hero number 1.”

But not everyone was convinced that the man in the photos was Govinda himself. “Damn bro, you look 90% like Govinda,” commented YouTuber Maxtern. Another user wrote, “Yaar, yeh original Govinda sir lag rahe hain,” while one cheeky comment read, “Even the original is starting to look like a copy.”

Fans loyal to the actor were quick to clear the air, affirming that the photos were indeed of Govinda.

Interestingly, a few users compared his transformed appearance to that of veteran actor Raza Murad and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Govinda, once a reigning superstar of the 1990s with a string of iconic hits, saw his stardom fade in the early 2000s as the industry shifted focus to a newer generation of actors. Despite multiple attempts to return to the limelight, he has struggled to recapture the magic that made him a household name.

Recently, his wife Sunita Ahuja shared her perspective on his stalled career, pointing out that he is now surrounded by sycophants who offer little constructive feedback and only applaud even his weakest efforts.

As fans continue to root for his return, only time will tell whether Govinda can stage the comeback they’ve long been waiting for.

In a sweeping crackdown on narco-offenders and organized crime, the Delhi Police launched Operation Kavach 8.0, executing coordinated raids across 1,040 locations spanning all 15 police districts. The 24-hour operation, which began at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, was spearheaded by the Crime Branch and Special Cell, officials confirmed.

According to the Special Commissioner of Police (Crime), the drive resulted in the arrest of 139 individuals involved in 133 cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police recovered a range of banned substances, including 90.3 grams of heroin, 25.9 kilograms of ganja, 3.32 grams of cocaine, 4.63 grams of MDMA, 20.08 grams of amphetamine, and 12 buprenorphine tablets.

The crackdown extended beyond narcotics. In 217 cases under the Delhi Excise Act, 224 individuals were arrested, and large quantities of illicit liquor were seized—47,476 quarters of country-made liquor, 125 beer bottles, and 158 cans. In addition, 30 people were apprehended under the Arms Act, with police confiscating eight pistols, seven live cartridges, three magazines, and 23 knives.

Further actions included the arrest of 55 individuals under the Gambling Act, with ₹25,592 in cash recovered. Police also took 5,682 individuals into preventive custody. Under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2,031 violators were prosecuted and one person arrested. The seizures included 469 e-cigarettes and approximately 1.71 lakh banned foreign cigarettes, totaling 8.56 packets.

Among the key arrests was 18-year-old Ekanjot Singh Sandhu from Punjab, from whom four semi-automatic pistols and three magazines were recovered. Another suspect, Sachin alias Hemu (26), was arrested at the Delhi University Metro Station with a country-made pistol and four live cartridges.

Significant recoveries were also made during separate raids: 7,550 quarters of illicit liquor were found in a tempo at Mundka, 10,000 quarters from a mini-van in Madipur, 1.48 lakh foreign cigarettes seized from a godown in Old Delhi, and 469 e-cigarettes recovered from a paan shop in Safdarjung Enclave.

The operation marks one of Delhi Police’s most comprehensive enforcement actions in recent times, targeting a broad spectrum of criminal activity across the capital.

Meta Rolls Out Passkeys for Facebook to Boost Mobile Login Safety

Meta has begun introducing passkey support on Facebook for both iOS and Android devices, offering users a more secure, password-free login method. Passkeys allow individuals to sign in using biometric authentication—like fingerprints or facial recognition—or their device’s PIN.

“Passkeys will soon be available on iOS and Android mobile devices for Facebook, and we will begin rolling out passkeys to Messenger in the coming months,” Meta confirmed in an official announcement.

Unlike traditional passwords, passkeys use your phone’s built-in security tools and store authentication credentials locally on the device, making them more resistant to phishing attacks and other cybersecurity threats.

Passkeys significantly reduce the risk of hacking or data theft. Since your biometric data or PIN never leaves the device, even Meta cannot access it. This localized system ensures that phishing attempts, such as fake login pages, have no data to extract.

Unlike SMS codes, which can be intercepted or reused, each passkey is uniquely tied to your device and account, making unauthorized access virtually impossible.

Beyond login security, passkeys will soon allow users to autofill payment information with Meta Pay, log in to Messenger, and protect chat backups. These features aim to streamline the user experience while enhancing data privacy.

How to Enable Passkeys on Facebook

  1. Open the Facebook app on your mobile device.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Accounts Centre.
  3. Select the Passkey option and follow the prompts.
  4. Use your device’s fingerprint, face recognition, or PIN to complete setup.

Meta Playing Catch-Up in Passkey Adoption

While Meta’s rollout of passkeys marks a step forward, it also underscores the company’s relatively late adoption of a now-standard security feature. Tech leaders such as Google, Microsoft, PayPal, and Amazon have supported passkeys for some time—Google launched passkey support back in 2022. Platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and eBay have also been ahead of the curve.

Meta added passkey support to WhatsApp in 2023. With Facebook and Messenger now joining in, Instagram remains the notable exception, with no official word on when passkeys might be introduced.

This delayed integration raises questions about Meta’s overall commitment to enhancing user security across its vast ecosystem.

‘They Won’t Let Me Have It Because…’: Trump Reacts to Pakistan’s Nobel Peace Prize Nomination

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again voiced his belief that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, following an official nomination by Pakistan. Citing his involvement in resolving several global conflicts—including tensions between India and Pakistan and the ongoing crisis between Congo and Rwanda—Trump insisted he should have received the honor multiple times.

“They should give me the Nobel Prize for Rwanda, and if you look at Congo, or Serbia and Kosovo—you could name several,” Trump told reporters on Friday. “The big one is India and Pakistan. I should have gotten it four or five times.”

Pakistan’s government formally nominated Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, praising what it described as his “decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership” during the recent India-Pakistan standoff. In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry asserted that Trump’s role in easing regional tensions merited international recognition.

Trump has long claimed he helped defuse hostilities between India and Pakistan—an assertion the Indian government has repeatedly denied.

During Friday’s remarks, Trump also hinted at a peace agreement reportedly set to be signed on Monday between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda—two nations embroiled in a protracted and recently intensified conflict. Details of the accord and the extent of U.S. involvement remain unclear, with no independent confirmation available.

Reiterating his belief that he has been unfairly overlooked, Trump said, “They won’t give me a Nobel Peace Prize because they only give it to liberals.”

Throughout his presidency, Trump received multiple Nobel Prize nominations, especially for brokering the Abraham Accords—normalization deals between Israel and several Arab nations. Despite these nominations, he has yet to receive the award.

The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded annually by the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which evaluates candidates based on their contributions to peace and conflict resolution. The committee does not publicly comment on individual nominations.

Sudhanshu Pandey Slams Apoorva Mukhija for Disrespecting Ashish Vidyarthi on The Traitors: ‘Jab aapki zubaan kharaab…’

Actor Sudhanshu Pandey has taken a firm stand against fellow The Traitors contestant Apoorva Mukhija, also known as “The Rebel Kid,” for her casual and, according to him, disrespectful remark about veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi. During a recent Instagram live, Sudhanshu expressed disappointment over Apoorva’s “Ashish jaayega” comment, calling it inappropriate and reflective of poor values.

Pandey questioned the tone of her statement, asking if Ashish was her childhood friend to be spoken about so lightly. He emphasized that using such a dismissive attitude towards senior artists is disrespectful, adding, “Jab aapki zubaan kharaab ho jaaye na, toh wo sab kuch kharaab kar deti hai.”

Referring to Vidyarthi as a senior figure even to himself, Sudhanshu said he was shocked to hear Apoorva speculate about Ashish’s elimination in such a casual tone. He further criticized the behavior, calling it a reflection of a misguided perception of Gen Z’s idea of ‘cool’ and labeled it “the biggest bullsh*t” and “a curse on our society.”

He concluded by pointing to his own children—also Gen Z—who, he said, remain respectful, and stressed that generalizations about youth culture should not excuse poor behavior.

About The Traitors

The Indian version of the Dutch reality show The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar, premiered on Prime Video on June 12. The show features 20 contestants, including Uorfi Javed, Apoorva Mukhija, Anshula Kapoor, Raj Kundra, Raftaar, and Karan Kundrra, divided into “Traitors” and “Faithful.” It combines suspense with strategy in a murder mystery format. The fourth episode dropped on June 19, where Maheep Kapoor was voted out amid rising suspicions.

Virat Kohli to Keep Low Profile in England, Avoid Cricket Despite India’s Upcoming Tests in London: Report

Virat Kholi

As India gears up for a much-anticipated five-Test series against England, one absence looms larger than most: that of Virat Kohli. Although no longer part of the Test squad, the former captain remains physically close to the action, quietly residing in London with his wife Anushka Sharma and their two children. Having stepped away from Test cricket, Kohli has opted for a life of quiet anonymity, far from the limelight of the sport he once dominated.

According to The Telegraph, Kohli’s current life in England is intentionally low-key and private. Despite India playing two Tests in London, Kohli has distanced himself from all cricket-related events. Unlike Sachin Tendulkar, who was recently seen at Lord’s, Kohli skipped both the World Test Championship final and the MCC’s “World Cricket Connects” symposium, choosing privacy over participation.

London has long served as a sanctuary for Kohli—one that offers him the peace and personal space rarely possible in India. He’s occasionally spotted at local restaurants or even riding the Tube, a level of normalcy unthinkable back home. The family is believed to reside in Notting Hill, a neighbourhood they’ve quietly called home for several years. In contrast to his high-profile cricketing persona, Kohli now leads a deliberately minimalistic lifestyle.

Interestingly, County side Middlesex had recently shown interest in signing Kohli, but he has yet to respond to the offer. His only recent cricketing engagement came earlier this month when Royal Challengers Bengaluru—his IPL team—won their maiden title. Unfortunately, celebrations turned tragic during the victory parade, which ended in a deadly stampede.

Kohli is expected to return to international duty in August for India’s ODI tour of Bangladesh—the only format he continues to play. Until then, his connection to the England series will remain paradoxical: geographically near, yet emotionally and professionally detached. Still, he did host Team India players, including new captain Shubman Gill, for lunch at his London residence before the series began.

Kremlin Says Date for Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks May Be Set Next Week

Russia anticipates reaching an agreement with Ukraine next week to set a date for a third round of peace talks, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. He noted that Kremlin aide Vladimir Medinsky, who leads the Russian delegation, remains in communication with his Ukrainian counterpart.

After a hiatus of over three years, the two nations resumed direct negotiations in Istanbul on May 16 and June 2. These discussions resulted in a series of prisoner exchanges and the repatriation of fallen soldiers’ remains.

However, no tangible progress has been made toward achieving a ceasefire. Ukraine, with support from Western allies, continues to push for a cessation of hostilities, while Russia maintains it seeks a comprehensive resolution rather than a temporary pause. Moscow is demanding territorial concessions and other conditions, which Kyiv views as tantamount to surrender.

The conflict has escalated recently, marked by intensified Russian airstrikes and Ukrainian drone attacks on June 1 that severely damaged Russia’s strategic bomber fleet.

Apple Expected to Enter Foldable Market with iPhone Launch in 2026, Production Starts Soon

Apple has long been exploring the foldable device market, though various challenges have delayed its entry. Now, the Cupertino-based tech giant is reportedly preparing to begin production of its first foldable iPhone later this year, with an official launch expected in 2026. If this timeline holds, Apple will officially join the growing foldable smartphone segment, competing with established players like Samsung, Google, and Vivo. Naturally, anticipation is high for how Apple’s foldable will stack up against the competition.

Despite the optimism, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has indicated that several components and technical specifications are still under development. Over the coming months, Apple is expected to map out a detailed production strategy before moving forward.

Foldable iPhone: What We Know So Far

According to Kuo, Apple is eyeing a September 2026 launch as part of the iPhone 18 lineup. Mass production could begin between the third and fourth quarters of 2025. Samsung Display is reportedly set to supply the foldable panels, while other hardware components are still being finalized.

Leaked reports suggest that the device may feature a book-style folding design with a 5.5-inch external display and a 7.8-inch internal foldable screen. It is expected to measure approximately 4.5mm when unfolded and around 9.5mm when folded—impressive figures for a first-generation model. Still, it’s too early to confirm these specs with certainty.

Advanced Features and Premium Pricing

Apple’s foldable iPhone is rumored to incorporate a crease-free display, thanks to a sophisticated hinge mechanism designed to minimize visible folds. The company has reportedly collaborated with a display supplier for several years to develop a panel that meets its high-quality standards.

In addition to the innovative hinge, the phone may include advanced features like an under-display camera and Touch ID integrated beneath the screen.

Production is expected to be limited, with Apple planning to manufacture around 15 to 20 million units. The foldable iPhone is projected to be a niche, ultra-premium product, with a price tag potentially reaching $2,500. Given the exclusivity and cost, Apple is likely aiming this device at early adopters and tech enthusiasts.

While the wait continues, 2026 could mark a significant shift in Apple’s product lineup, as the company finally enters the foldable market with a product that blends innovation, design, and its signature ecosystem.

India Launches Evacuation Plan for Citizens in Israel

India's plan to evacuate citizens

India announced on Thursday that it will begin evacuating Indian nationals wishing to leave Israel amid ongoing hostilities with Iran. Due to current airspace restrictions, the evacuation will initially take place via land borders, followed by air transport to India.

This operation falls under Operation Sindhu, which was launched on Wednesday to facilitate the safe return of Indian citizens from Iran.

“In light of the recent developments between Israel and Iran, the Government of India has decided to evacuate Indian nationals in Israel who wish to return home,” stated the Ministry of External Affairs. “Travel arrangements will involve transit through land borders, followed by flights to India,” the statement added.

The Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has been tasked with overseeing the evacuation process. Indian citizens in Israel have been advised to register with the embassy, which has established a 24×7 control room to provide assistance.

The embassy also reiterated its earlier advisories, urging Indians in Israel to remain alert and strictly adhere to safety protocols issued by Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command.

Currently, over 32,000 Indian nationals reside in Israel, with many employed in the construction sector as blue-collar workers following a rise in demand due to reduced availability of Palestinian labor. Indian caregivers and professionals are also widely present across the country.

The Indian government emphasized its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens and affirmed that it is closely monitoring the evolving situation. “The embassy remains in continuous contact with the community to provide all possible support,” the ministry said.

No Indian casualties have been reported in Israel so far. However, a few Indian students in Tehran were injured earlier this week when an Israeli airstrike struck a student dormitory.

Hostilities Escalate Between Israel and Iran

Tensions between Israel and Iran have now entered their seventh day. Iranian missile strikes hit four locations in central and southern Israel, including Soroka Hospital, while Israeli forces launched attacks on Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor.

On Thursday, Iran reportedly fired approximately 20 ballistic missiles at Israeli territory. In response, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant stated that one of Israel’s strategic objectives is the “elimination” of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

US Relocates Military Assets, Restricts Access to Key Middle East Base

The U.S. military has repositioned certain aircraft and naval vessels from Middle Eastern bases considered vulnerable to potential Iranian strikes, according to two U.S. officials who spoke to Reuters on Wednesday.

This strategic move follows heightened uncertainty over whether President Donald Trump will involve the United States in Israel’s ongoing airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear and missile facilities. The bombardment has triggered an exodus from Iran’s capital, now entering its sixth day.

Separately, the U.S. Embassy in Qatar issued a security alert on Thursday, temporarily restricting personnel from accessing Al Udeid Air Base—the largest American military installation in the Middle East—located in the desert near Doha. The embassy urged heightened vigilance among staff and U.S. citizens in Qatar, citing “ongoing regional hostilities” and acting “out of an abundance of caution.”

The two officials, who requested anonymity, stated that the repositioning is part of broader force protection measures but declined to specify the number of units moved or their new locations. One official noted that aircraft not housed in reinforced shelters had been evacuated from Al Udeid, and naval vessels were withdrawn from the U.S. 5th Fleet’s base in Bahrain.

“This isn’t unusual,” the official explained. “Force protection remains our top priority.”

Reuters previously reported the relocation of several tanker aircraft to Europe, alongside the deployment of additional military assets and fighter jets to the Middle East. An aircraft carrier currently stationed in the Indo-Pacific is also en route to the region.

Israel initiated its air offensive last Friday, claiming Iran was on the brink of achieving nuclear weapons capability—a charge Iran strongly denies.

Meanwhile, Iran has warned the U.S. against direct involvement in the conflict. On Wednesday, Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva stated that any American intervention in Israel’s military campaign would provoke a firm Iranian response.
