Red Fort Blast Probe Uncovers 2 Additional Cars Procured by Terror Module

Red Fort Blast: Investigators have discovered that the suspected suicide bomber and his associate procured two additional cars from Delhi beyond the Hyundai i20 used in Monday’s Red Fort blast that killed nine and injured two dozen, NDTV has learned.

Additional Vehicles

Limited information is currently available about these vehicles, but they are believed to be part of the terror conspiracy now being investigated. The high-intensity blast occurred Monday evening near Gate 1 of Red Fort Metro Station.

Key Suspects in Red Fort Blast

Umar Nabi, the suspected bomber, has been identified as a doctor with links to Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed. Aamir Rashid Mir, who worked in Kashmir’s power department, and his family are accused of assisting Umar.

The Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency has assumed control of the investigation into the Jaish module.

Investigation Scope

Police are studying databases of all arrested and detained individuals, carefully examining Aadhaar cards and driving licenses while scanning call logs, WhatsApp, Telegram, and travel history. Aamir is being questioned alongside his plumber brother Umar Rashid, 30, and another suspect, Tariq Malik—none yet arrested.

Female JeM Operative

Dr. Shaheen Saaed, arrested with an assault rifle and ammunition in her car, is among those being probed. She worked at Al-Falah University in Faridabad, approximately 45 km from Delhi.

Sources indicate she headed the India branch of JeM’s women’s wing, Jamaat ul-Mominaat, led by JeM founder Masood Azhar’s sister Sadia Azhar in Pakistan.

University Connections

In Red Fort Blast, three other detained doctors who worked at the university are likely to be released as their connection to any terror module hasn’t been established.

Kashmiri doctor Muzammil Ganale alias Musaib, who also worked at the same university, remains in custody after arrest with 2,900 kg of bomb-making explosives. He maintained contact with Dr. Saeed.

White Collar Terror Network

The Red Fort Blast Probe has highlighted what authorities describe as a “white collar terror ecosystem” using professional networks for recruitment, funding, and logistics. The involvement of highly educated medical professionals signals a fundamental shift in how terrorist organizations identify recruits, according to security agencies.

The investigation continues expanding as authorities trace connections, vehicle procurement chains, and communication networks within the suspected terror module.
