Consultant plastic surgeon Reza Nassab, based in Manchester and Cheshire, explained the likely reason behind the actor’s changed appearance. “I don’t believe Matthew McConaughey has had rhinoplasty. His nose appears different likely due to weight loss, especially in his face,” he stated. He added that significant weight loss can make facial features, including the nose, appear more prominent, leading some to assume cosmetic surgery.
