OnePlus on Tuesday launched its premium offering, the OnePlus 12 smartphone in China, which will hit international markets including India in early 2024.

Sporting a unique curved hollow design inspired by the braided patterns of Dart River, the phone starts at CNY 4,299 (approx Rs 50,600) in China.
Powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip based on a 4nm process, the OnePlus 12 offers blazing-fast performance with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
It features a stunning 2K 120Hz LTPO display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits, 100W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and a 5400mAh battery with dual-cell tech.
For optics, the OnePlus 12 employs a versatile triple camera system featuring a custom 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor, 48MP ultra-wide shooter, and 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
The phone ships with OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 out-of-the-box in China. Global variants are likely to offer the unified OS that OnePlus is developing with Oppo’s ColorOS code.
“The OnePlus 12 reiterates our commitment to sharing the best technology with the world,” said OnePlus founder Pete Lau at the launch event.
The premium flagship will compete with the likes of iPhone 14 Pro and Samsung S23 series which also use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 silicon for unmatched performance.
