Luxury on Your Ears? Mercedes-Benz Tipped to Launch High-End Headphones Soon

Mercedes-Benz, best known for its luxury cars, seems to be tuning further into the world of high-end audio. A new listing suggests that the company is gearing up to launch the Mercedes-Benz Wireless Headphone 2, the successor to its first pair of wireless headphones released back in 2020.

Spotted on the UAE’s TDRA certification site, the device listed under model number MB WHP 2 comes with Bluetooth support, confirming it as part of Mercedes’ next generation of premium over-ear headphones. Although the certification doesn’t dive into specifics, it signals that the automaker is preparing a refreshed model for the global market. In India, the headphones are expected to cost around Rs. 35,000.

The original Mercedes-Benz Wireless Headphones featured the brand’s signature over-ear look, complete with the three-pointed star emblem. They supported Bluetooth 5.0 and 3.5mm wired connections, featured touch-sensitive controls, an in-built microphone, and even 3D surround sound. With up to 18 hours of playback per charge, the first-generation model was built for comfort and brand-conscious listeners.

The upcoming model is likely to improve on that foundation. Industry speculation points toward the inclusion of active noise cancellation, better audio drivers, and enhanced microphone quality for clearer calls. Faster charging and extended Bluetooth range may also make an appearance, aligning the new model with other high-end offerings in the wireless headphone market.

Though Mercedes-Benz has yet to make an official announcement, the certification hints that the product could debut soon. Once released, it’s expected to rival popular brands offering luxury wireless audio experiences.

Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz is also gearing up for another big launch, an all-electric C-Class sedan scheduled for 2026. The EV aims to offer a 500-mile range and 400 kW ultra-fast charging, putting it in direct competition with BMW’s i3. The upcoming model is expected to feature a sleek, tech-driven interior that mirrors the brand’s growing focus on innovation and digital luxury.
