Over 8,000 dignitaries including Indian cricket icons Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar have been invited for the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony marking the consecration of the Ram Mandir’s main deity on January 22.

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust aims to make the event historic, for which invites have gone out to celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Ratan Tata besides around 6,000 religious leaders.
Separate teams have been formed to coordinate logistics for the VVIP guests, including their accommodation and security, sources in the trust said.
Families of nearly 50 ‘karsevaks’ who attained martyrdom during the 1990 police firing on those demonstrating for the temple have also been invited to the emotional event.
“We can never forget the sacrifice of our karsevaks who gave their lives for the Ram Mandir. Their families will be hosted with utmost care,” a VHP leader said.
The temple trust is leaving no stone unturned to make Prime Minister Modi’s inauguration of Ram Lalla’s sanctum sanctorum a befitting and memorable moment.
The invitation is a barcode-enabled digital pass that will grant access to the venue on January 22 when a new chapter opens for India’s most divisive land dispute.
