Extradition process launched for Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother from US

Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch has initiated extradition proceedings for Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, from the United States in connection with the high-profile shooting incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence.

Extradition process begins for Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother

A special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Anmol Bishnoi, marking a crucial step in the legal process. Police sources indicate they are finalizing court documentation before submitting a formal extradition proposal to the central government.

The development follows U.S. authorities’ alert about Bishnoi’s presence in their jurisdiction, contradicting earlier intelligence that placed him in Canada. Additionally, a red corner notice has been issued to facilitate his international search.

NIA adds Amnol Bishnoi to Most-Wanted List

Last month, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) added Bishnoi to their most-wanted list, offering a ₹10 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest.

According to police documents, Anmol Bishnoi played a pivotal role in the April shooting at Khan’s Bandra residence. The chargesheet reveals that Bishnoi delivered a nine-minute motivational speech to the shooters, telling them they would “script history.”

About Bishnoi Gang

The Bishnoi gang, which gained notoriety following singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder in 2022, has been linked to multiple high-profile cases. The gang allegedly targeted Khan over a 1998 blackbuck hunting case, leading to enhanced security measures at the actor’s residence following continued threats.

The investigation has named Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, and Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar as the primary accused in the shooting incident. The gang is also under investigation for the recent murder of politician Baba Siddique, known for his close association with Salman Khan.

In 2022, the Bishnoi brothers faced accusations of orchestrating a conspiracy to fund and recruit youth for terrorist activities across Delhi and other parts of India.
