Despite facing tough weather conditions and rough terrain, the security forces continued their pursuit and successfully neutralized the second terrorist on the morning of September 13. They engaged in a fierce firefight throughout the night to accomplish this.
Persistent Threats along with security concerns
While Rajouri and Poonch were once considered relatively safe from militant activities, there has been a recent surge in terrorist incidents over the past few months. Notably, this encounter occurred shortly after another clash on September 4, where a terrorist was killed, and two security personnel were injured in Gali Sohab village, located in the Chassana area of Reasi district.
