Amit Shah Attacks RJD with “Jungle Raj” Warnings at Bihar Campaign Rallies

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp offensive against the Rashtriya Janata Dal on Sunday, alleging that an RJD government would create “three portfolios of murder, kidnapping and extortion” while promising flood-free Bihar under continued NDA rule.

Addressing rallies in Muzaffarpur and Vaishali, Shah urged voters to support the NDA to prevent what he characterized as the return of “jungle raj” associated with previous RJD administrations.

Amit Shah Allegations Against Opposition

“If Lalu’s son (Tejashwi) becomes Bihar chief minister, three more new portfolios will be created to oversee kidnapping, extortion and murder…Your votes for NDA will save Bihar from RJD’s ‘jungle raj’. Efforts are underway to bring back ‘jungle raj’ with new faces,” Amit Shah alleged at the Muzaffarpur rally.

He claimed infighting was occurring among Mahagathbandhan constituents in Bihar, and accused RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi of “trying to make their sons the Bihar chief minister and the prime minister, respectively,” asserting both positions “are not vacant.”

Development Promises

Amit Shah pledged that if the NDA retains power, it would establish a dedicated ministry to control flooding. “If voted to power, the NDA government will make Bihar flood-free…It will set up a separate ministry to control floods,” he stated.

At the Vaishali rally, Shah announced: “The PM has chalked out a scheme to ensure water from Koshi, Ganga, and Gandak rivers reaches farmers’ fields for irrigation in Bihar.”

The Home Minister highlighted various development initiatives, including GST reductions benefiting litchi growers and plans for a mega food park in Muzaffarpur with Rs 20,000 crore investment.

“Under the Modi-Nitish regime, Bihar became the first state to export rail engines and set up an engineering cluster at Gayaji,” he noted.

Infrastructure Announcements

Amit Shah announced plans for a special Vande Bharat train connecting Sitamarhi, considered Goddess Sita’s birthplace, to Ayodhya, where the Ram Temple stands. The service will launch after completion of a Sita Temple at Sitamarhi costing Rs 850 crore.

Characterizing NDA allies—BJP, JD(U), Chirag Paswan’s LJP (RV), HAM, and Kushwaha’s party—as “five Pandavas,” Shah promised the alliance would “ensure Bihar’s prosperity.”
