Barrack Obama Expresses Concern Over Biden’s Bid

Former President Barack Obama has raised concerns about Joe Biden’s reportedly declining health, suggesting that the US President should seriously reconsider his re-election bid ahead of the Presidential elections. Although Obama has supported Biden’s candidacy as a Democrat, he has told allies that Biden’s chances of winning have significantly decreased, according to The Washington Post.

Obama’s concerns surfaced shortly after former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi advised Joe Biden that he cannot defeat Republican candidate Donald Trump. Pelosi warned that Biden’s continued campaign could jeopardize the Democrats’ chances of retaining the House in the upcoming November elections.

Despite these concerns, President Biden has assured Pelosi that polls indicate he can win the election.

Following Biden’s problematic debate with Donald Trump on June 27, where he appeared to struggle, many analysts have expressed doubts about Biden’s re-election prospects due to his “failing” health.

Last week, Obama and Pelosi reportedly discussed their concerns about Biden’s campaign and his declining popularity in a private conversation.

The 81-year-old Biden has rejected numerous calls from within his party to step aside, insisting that he remains the best-positioned Democrat to defeat Trump. He continues to rely on strong support from Black and Latino elected officials.

Some believe that an assassination attempt on Donald Trump may have bolstered the Republican candidate’s chances. The President and his campaign have refrained from criticizing Trump following the incident at a rally in Pennsylvania, where Trump was injured, one person was killed, and two others were injured. The suspected 20-year-old shooter was also killed by a Secret Service agent.
