In a touching display of respect, prominent figures from India’s entertainment industry paid tribute to industrial titan Ratan Tata, who passed away last night at 86 in a Mumbai hospital. The business leader had been hospitalized since Monday. One of the famous personalities is Diljit Dosanjh who gave heartfelt tribute to Ratan Tata, who died last night at 86. Diljit Dosanjh, who is currently in Germany for his much-talked-about Dil-Luminati Tour, stopped his concert mid-way and spoke at length about the visionary industrialist.

Diljit Dosanjh extended condolences to Ratan Tata

During his Dil-Luminati Tour performance in Germany, singer Diljit Dosanjh paused his concert to honour Tata’s memory.

Speaking in Punjabi, Dosanjh shared heartfelt words about the industrialist’s legacy: “Whatever I have heard and read of him, I never seen him speak anything wrong about anyone.”

The singer emphasized Tata’s lifelong dedication to hard work and helping others, adding, “He has always worked hard in his life, did good work and helped people. This is life, this is how one should be. If there is one thing we can learn from his life, it is that we should work hard, think positive, be helpful and live life to its fullest.”

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan shared a personal memory on X (formerly Twitter), describing Tata as “a personal hero” and recalling their meeting at the Taj Hotel following the 2008 Mumbai attacks. “In that moment of national crisis, the titan stood tall and became the embodiment of the Indian spirit, to rebuild and emerge stronger as a nation,” Haasan wrote.

The outpouring of tributes extended across the film industry, with Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Jr NTR, and Rana Daggubati all sharing messages of condolence. At the time of his passing, Ratan Tata held significant influence on social media, with over 13 million followers on X and nearly 10 million on Instagram. The 360 ONE Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2023 recognized him as India’s ‘most followed entrepreneur.’
