The much-awaited release of Tamil superstar Vikram’s spy thriller ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ has been postponed yet again over financial disputes.

The film was slated to open in theaters on November 24th after multiple delays over the years. However, director Gautham Menon announced on social media that they need “a day or two more” to finalize the release.

As per reports, the Madras High Court had instructed Menon to clear dues worth Rs 2 crore to production house All In Pictures by November 24 morning for the film’s release. With the payment not made in time, the court stalled the premiere.
‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ has been in production since 2017 and faced several hurdles already including filming delays and the pandemic. Fans were excited about Vikram’s return as an agent going rogue, but the legal wrangles have poured cold water yet again.
Menon expressed disappointment but said the incredible audience support has kept them motivated. The team is hoping to resolve the financial matters in a few days and announce a new release date soon.
Besides Vikram playing the titular character, the high-octane action flick also stars Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Radhika Sarathkumar, and others. The multi-part franchise is produced by Menon himself.
On the work front, Vikram has other eagerly awaited films coming up including ‘Thangalaan’ and ‘Chiyaan 62’ where he reunites with composer GV Prakash Kumar after over a decade. But ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ remains special for fans awaiting Vikram in an intense action avatar.
Here’s hoping the legal issues get ironed out and there are no further barriers to the film’s long-awaited opening in cinemas.
