Noah Describes Bengaluru Show Experience
Trevor Noah, the renowned comedian, shared details of his Bengaluru show cancellation during a performance in Mumbai. He humorously described the Manpho Convention Centre in Bengaluru, where the show was scheduled, as a “semi-permanent tent” and narrated how dogs in cages were barking along the path leading to the venue. He also highlighted the poor seating arrangements and malfunctioning air-conditioning units, which resulted in bad sound quality and an unsatisfactory experience for the audience.
Comical Take on Bengaluru Traffic
Noah, in his signature comedic style, discussed the challenges he faced while navigating Bengaluru’s notorious traffic to reach the venue. Video clips from his Mumbai performance showed him joking about his Bengaluru experience. Despite the cancellation, Noah expressed his intention to return to India and specifically mentioned Bangalore.
Bangalore’s shambolic state has provided enough content for Trevor Noah’s future shows. If this does not wake up the administration then we have nothing left to hope for @Jointcptraffic @BBMPCOMM @CMofKarnataka @DKShivakumar https://t.co/rZee59SAG0

“Usually what happens is, there’s an entrance…through which you emerge into the backstage area before you come up and perform. Here we walked through an alley that was full of dogs, half of which were in cages,” Noah amusingly remarked.
In response to the clips and Noah’s experiences, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, the founder-chairperson of Indian drugmaker Biocon Ltd., expressed her views on social media. She referred to Bangalore’s infrastructure as “shambolic” and suggested that the city had provided enough content for Trevor Noah’s future shows. She tagged several administrative bodies and leaders, urging them to address the issues faced by the city.

Show Cancellation Details
The Bengaluru show, originally scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., faced multiple challenges. It started around 40 minutes late due to various factors, including traffic congestion. Trevor Noah himself arrived at the venue approximately 20 minutes behind schedule. As the show commenced, audience members began complaining about the poor sound quality, making it impossible to hear the performers. Consequently, both of his concerts in Bengaluru had to be canceled due to these “technical issues.”
Noah’s Apology and Promise of Refunds
Trevor Noah apologized to the audience and assured them of refunds for the canceled shows. He expressed his disappointment in a social media post. He explained that the technical issues prevented the audience from hearing the comedians on stage, making it impossible to continue with the show.
