Coldplay adds 2nd Ahmedabad Show, Tickets sold in minutes

In an unprecedented display of fan enthusiasm, British rock titans Coldplay have announced a second show at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium following an instant sellout of their January 25, 2024 concert. The additional performance, scheduled for January 26, 2025, marks a historic moment in India’s concert landscape.

Coldplay adds 2nd show in Ahmedabad

The band took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news: “SECOND 2025 AHMEDABAD DATE ANNOUNCED. The band will play a second show at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 26 January, 2025. Tickets on sale TODAY at 1PM IST. Delivered by DHL.”

Amid the ticket frenzy, BookMyShow has issued stern warnings against scalping, which is illegal in India. “These tickets are invalid… Please don’t fall prey to this because you will be buying fake tickets,” the platform cautioned on Instagram, addressing unauthorized resellers attempting to capitalize on the demand.

Coldplay concerts fire India

The concerts promise to be a nostalgic journey through Coldplay’s illustrious catalogue, featuring beloved anthems like “Yellow,” “The Scientist,” “Fix You,” and “A Sky Full of Stars.” This marks the band’s return to Indian shores after their memorable 2016 appearance at Mumbai’s Global Citizen Festival.

The quartet – Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion – has also scheduled three Mumbai shows for their global tour on January 18, 19, and 21, 2025. The Ahmedabad concerts are set to be their largest-ever performances in India, showcasing the country’s growing significance in the international music circuit.

This five-show commitment to India represents a significant milestone in the band’s touring history, reflecting both their global appeal and the country’s emerging status as a prime destination for international acts.
