The performance marks an innovative promotional strategy for “Jigra,” Bhatt’s latest venture with director Vasan Bala, which is set to hit theatres on October 11, 2024.

The film, which pairs Bhatt with rising star Vedang Raina, explores the dynamic relationship between a brother-sister duo. Adding to her growing portfolio as a filmmaker, Bhatt has also taken on the role of co-producer alongside industry veteran Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

Speaking about the project on social media, Bhatt simply stated, “11.10.2024 | JIGRA | See you at the movies.”

Meanwhile, Karan Johar offered more insight into the film’s themes, noting, “Courage comes to play when one of your own is at risk. Starring Alia Bhatt & Vedang Raina – #Jigra arrives in cinemas on 11th October, 2024.”

Jigra gets U/A certificate

The film – Jigra has already secured a U/A certificate and boasts a substantial runtime of 155 minutes (2 hours and 35 minutes). Initially scheduled for a September 27 release, the makers strategically postponed the premiere to avoid competing with Jr NTR’s highly anticipated “Devara: Part 1.”

Bhatt’s surprise appearance at Walker’s concert, combined with her dual role as actor and producer, showcases her evolving presence in the entertainment industry. The event not only highlighted her versatility as a performer but also demonstrated innovative approaches to film promotion in the digital age, where social media buzz can significantly impact a movie’s success.
