The Adani Group, a rapidly growing conglomerate in India, hosted the third edition of ‘Green Talks’ on Friday in Ahmedabad. The event served as a platform for founders of five innovative start-ups to present their ideas, reinforcing the company’s commitment to fostering social entrepreneurship.

‘Green Talks’ is a non-profit, open platform that brings together a global network of social enterprises dedicated to driving broad transformation and accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2023 edition of the program aimed to provide a platform for entrepreneurs making a significant impact on society through their innovative solutions, contributing to humanity’s betterment.
The start-ups featured in this year’s event include Dveck Mobility Private Limited, introducing a device that can transform any bicycle into an electric vehicle in minutes. Haqdarshak, another participant, is a tech organization focused on simplifying access to government welfare schemes, emphasizing transparency. Marut Drones showcased smart drones for various farming applications, ONergy Solar worked towards making solar solutions affordable and accessible, and PRESPL presented green and sustainable biomass solutions.
The event was broadcast live on YouTube and internal channels for Adani employees.
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, emphasized the importance of learning and technological immersion through collaboration with start-ups. Adani stated, “Adani Group welcomes start-ups to use us as a sandbox to deploy their solutions. Courage is one of the Adani Group’s values, and we applaud the courage that youngsters show in setting up start-ups.”
The Adani Group has a history of collaborating with start-ups, including iKure, a healthcare innovator in the Sundarbans, prosthetics technologist RoboBionics, and dharavimarket.com, a social enterprise supporting the holistic development of craftsmen and residents of Dharavi.
‘Green Talks’ was initiated in 2021, and in 2022, the Adani Prize for Social Enterprise was introduced to recognize and reward outstanding social entrepreneurs. The prize, totaling Rs 5 crores in funding, was awarded to five impactful social enterprises contributing to India and other developing regions.
The initiative aims to bring together social enterprises working across various sectors to accelerate transformative progress. ‘Green Talks’ serves as a space for open-source innovation, unrestricted discussion, and an incubator for concepts fostering long-lasting societal change. The platform celebrates the entrepreneur’s ability to leverage technology, design, and business innovation for the greater good.
