The new Apache now becomes the top tier after the Apache 200 4V series. The new offering is a street-naked motorcycle. With this launch, TVS has pulled out a trump card shocking all the offerings from Triumph and other motorcycles.

The Apache RTR 310 comes with 3 standard and 3 Built to Order options. The Ex-Showroom pricing is as follows:

While the BTO kit costs Rs. 18,000 and 22,000 for dynamic and dynamic pro kits respectively. The Sepang Blue color costs Rs. 10,000 additionally on its own. The price is stealing and competitive looking at other competition from Honda, KTM, and Triumph.

Jawan Box Office Day 1 Collection

According to Box Office India, Jawan has already earned more than Rs. 60 crore nett on day 1. The collection can finish off the day with more marks. This has set the cash register ringing off. The direction of Jawan from Athlee created its own record, breaking the previous release of Pathaan by a significant margin.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan is an action-based thriller. The movie features Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani Ridhi Dogra, and many more. The music composer is Anirudh Ravichander while the production house is SRK’s own Red Chillies Entertainment. It is owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan itself.

Previously, Pathan collected Rs. 56 crores nett. Thus Jawan has surpassed it by more than 9 crores! We can say that Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is set to dethrone his last film Pathaan.

Estimates, Reports for Jawan

Jawan is available in three languages: Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil at the box office. The film was released on 07th September 2023 on the occasion of Janmashtami holiday. SRK’s Jawan is most likely to have an amazing run along with a box office collection on Friday, Saturday & Sunday!

According to some reports, the Hindi version had a 46% occupancy rate on the opening day. On Day 1, 14 lakhs tickets were sold which already broke Pathaan’s records.

Pathaan opened at Rs. 27.02 crore which was the highest for a Hindi film. Pathaan also enjoyed a long week as it was released on Wednesday, 25th January. It had a smooth run along Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

TATA Consumer Products denies the news of negotiation with Haldiram’s to buy a major stake.

TATA Consumer Products to buy Haldiram’s?

On Wednesday, TCPL (Tata Consumer Products Limited) stated that the company is not in any negotiations with Haldiram’s about acquiring a 51% stake in the company. However, there were several rumors about TATA’s FMCG arm planning to do the same.

Haldiram’s is India’s one of the leading snack makers as well as restaurant operators. TCPL stated that: “The company is not in negotiations as reported” to acquire Haldiram’s.” Later a company spokesperson added, “Tata Consumer Products does not comment on market speculation.”

On the other hand, Haldiram’s management declined to comment on the matter. TCPL says that the filing was done as a response to clarification sought by NSE & BSE about the reports.

The Rumours

The rumors were that the TCP consumer unit was in talks to buy at least 51% of Haldiram’s. But, it was not comfortable with the valuation of $10 billion. This comes from Reuters. Well, even before Tata Group was in talks with Bisleri for Rs. 7,000 core which was later sacked.

Haldiram’s dates back to 1937 which was a tiny shop known for its crispy bhujia. Since then, it has grown tremendously and diversified into other food snacks. Its rival Bikaji Foods International is competitive as well to some extent. TCPL owns FMCG brands like Tata Coffee, Tata Tea, Tata Salt, Tetley, and many more. It also owns the coffee and other beverages segments including Himalayan and Gluco+. The food & beverages sector is where the company is looking to expand further.

People’s Take

Despite the rumors being fake, some insiders feel that it could diversify the portfolio of TATA. Along with that, the acquisition shall also boost its presence in the competitive snacks market. It is known that Haldiram’s owns a significant market share in India which would help to strengthen the position of TATA.

Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro

The price of Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro is about to suffer a hike. This is due to the chassis upgrade from stainless steel to titanium which thereby increases the manufacturing cost of the iPhones. Other costs also include the periscope lens that performs 5-6x optical zoom. However, it is reserved only for the Pro Max.

Just like each year, the new iPhone would be the most expensive iPhone ever. Previously, there were reports that the titanium transition might not increase the price of the phone. But, it seems that Apple is factoring in the R&D cost of the periscope optical zoom camera as well. All of this calls for a 200$ substantial hike. 

Leaked Pricing & Specifications 

With the titanium transition, Apple would be able to differentiate between the Pro and non-Pro models. Titanium chassis is stronger than stainless for sure. However, it may not be essential for everyone’s daily functionality of the phone. It allows to widening of the gap between each model.

  • iPhone 15: A16 chip, Dynamic Island design, 48-megapixel camera.

  • iPhone 15 Pro: Record-breaking bezels, titanium chassis, Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, A17 chip with 3nm technology, periscopic zoom camera, improved battery life.

The pricing of the iPhone 15 series is expected as follows:

  • iPhone 15: Starting at $799 (no change)

  • iPhone 15 Plus: Starting at $899 (no change)

  • iPhone 15 Pro: Starting at $1,099 (a $100 increase)

  • iPhone 15 Pro Max: Starting at $1,299 (a $200 increase)

It seems that Apple wants to make the price difference more to encourage users to make an informed decision. The sales of iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max have outperformed the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus. Also, this is a move to make profit margins across the entire lineup of products.

Russia has labeled the US’s decision to provide Depleted Uranium Weapons to Ukraine as a “criminal act”. It has further increased the tensions amidst the ongoing Ukraine crisis. Also, Russia has raised security and environmental concerns about the same.

A new security aid package worth $175 million is launched from the Pentagon, the US defense department. This package provides uranium ammunition required for US Abrams tanks. It is dense which is produced as a by-product of uranium enrichment. The downside is that it poses a lot of health risks such as potential cancer and birth defects. It is used only because it allows bullets to penetrate thick armor.

Sergei Ryabkov, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia warned that this pressure could risk a nuclear war due to Western pressure on Moscow. An armed conflict would be dangerous between two nuclear-armed nations.

Both sides are offering their narratives about the Ukraine situation. Russia accuses the Western nations are using Ukraine as a proxy battleground to underground Moscow. On the other hand, the US argues that their support is to help the country defend against the invasion of Russia. NPCI’s UPI Success

NPCI’s UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is the most preferred payment option for digital payments in India. Recently at the Global Fintech Fest 2023, they announced additional features to enhance the UPI payment system. It also aims to increase the financial inclusion for all.

The new UPI features from NPCI are as follows:

Credit Line on UPI

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced plans to allow credit lines on UPI. This is with the aim of improving financial inclusion. Under this feature, selected banks and apps would offer pre-sanctioned credit lines via UPI to the required customers. This will allow users to make payments even when insufficient funds in their bank account.

UPI Lite X (Offline Payments)

Just like UPI Lite, users can now send and receive money offline provided their device is NFC (Near Field Communication) capable. This is supposed to make UPI more accessible for the masses and versatile too.

UPI Tap & Pay (QR Codes & NFC)

Customers can make payments by tapping on QR codes or tapping to pay through a phone using NFC without the need for a debit card. This simplifies the payment experiences in India.

Hello! UPI (Voice-Activated Payments)

This feature allows users to initiate transactions through conversations. It is available currently in English and Hindi and more regional languages are to be added soon. With this, users can perform transactions using their voices now. This adds a new level of convenience to UPI applications and telephone calls as well.

BillPay Connect (Payments via messaging)

This feature allows users to pay their bills just by sending a simple message in chat apps. Even users without smartphones or mobile data can do the same via a missed call to settle their bills.

UPI ATMs

UPI ATMs are the new trick under the sleeves of banks. The advent of UPI ATMs will allow users to eliminate the need to carry a debit card with them. Through UPI ATM, users can use any UPI-enabled app on their mobile devices and withdraw money just like any UPI Scan & Pay transaction.

The Truth about G20 Banner Images

After investigation from other sources and reverse image search, these images are not from Delhi. These photos of curtains and banners on the slum to hide are from last year in Mumbai. The pictures are probably of Jogeshwari slums along Mumbai from last year. Thus, it is a request to not believe everything that is seen on the internet.

These images are being used right now to set a political narrative. However, some beautification and moderation for the G20 Summit are going on in Delhi.

No G20 dinner invite to Kharge

P Chidambaram criticized the government for not inviting the Rajya Sabha’s opposition leader. As the opposition leader of the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge was not invited to the G20 Gala Dinner, the senior congress leader P Chidambaram criticized the government. He further said, “This can happen only in countries where there’s no democracy or opposition.”

P Chidambaram also added that he hopes that India/Bharat does not reach a stage where democracy and opposition cease to exist.

Rahul Gandhi also expressed that the opposition leader was not invited to the Gala dinner at the G20 Summit. He also put forth his opinion that the government does not value the opposition leader. The opposition leader of 60% population of India.

P Chidambaram Words

In a post on X, Chidambaram said,

“I cannot imagine any other democratic country’s government not inviting the recognized Leader of the Opposition to a state dinner for world leaders. This can happen only in countries where there is no Democracy or no Opposition.”

He further said:

“I hope India, that is Bharat, has not reached a stage where Democracy and the Opposition will cease to exist,”

TDP Chief N Chandrababu was arrested in an alleged scam of 317 crores.

N Chandrababu who is the chief of TDP (Telugu Desam Party) and former CM of Andra Pradesh was arrested today over an alleged scam of 317 crores. He is shifted to Vijayawada by the officials. The scam was in the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation during his tenure. This body is responsible for providing skill training to youngsters. 

He was taken into custody this morning by CID officers post-drama of midnight. Last night, the officers reached the function hall at Nadyal along with a warrant to arrest the chief. 

Drama during the arrest

TDP officers did not allow the same. Later TDP Chief said that cops had no evidence. “Show me where my name is. How can they arrest me without basic evidence?” Also, some conversational drama took place between the cops and his supporters. 

The supporters started to put forth questions to the cops. They responded by saying that they were here with evidence and a remand report that contained all the details regarding everything.

Arrest Details

A notice from a senior officer at CID’s Economic Offenses said: “It is to inform you that you have been arrested… at 6 am at R K Function Hall, Gnanapuram, H/o Moolasagaram, Nandyala town and it is a non-bailable offense.”

The TDP has been charged under sections for cheating, criminal conspiracy, and dishonestly. Also, it includes inducing delivery of property and 465. It means that the Prevention of Corruption Act has been invoked.

Later after the arrest, a post was made on his official X Account stating, “No force on earth can stop me from serving Telugu people”.
