Kangana Ranaut Slams Rahul Gandhi Over His Hindenburg-Adani Remarks

On August 12, Kangana Ranaut, a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for supporting the latest Hindenburg Research report. Ranaut labeled Gandhi as the “most dangerous man” who could potentially “destroy the nation” if his ambition to become Prime Minister is not achieved.

In a post on X, Ranaut described Gandhi as “bitter, poisonous, and destructive,” suggesting that his aim is to ruin the country if he cannot become Prime Minister. She dismissed the Hindenburg report, which Gandhi endorsed, as “a damp squib.”

On August 11, Gandhi had criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and industrialist Gautam Adani in light of new allegations from Hindenburg. He questioned why SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch had not resigned, citing concerns about the integrity of SEBI, which is responsible for protecting retail investors’ wealth.

The latest Hindenburg report, released on August 10, alleges that SEBI’s inaction against the Adani Group may be linked to Buch’s investments in offshore funds associated with the conglomerate. The report claims SEBI’s lack of response to the alleged scam is due to Buch’s “complicity” involving the same funds used by Vinod Adani, Gautam Adani’s brother.

Ranaut urged Gandhi to prepare for a life in opposition, criticizing him harshly. She suggested that the nation will never accept him as their leader and labeled him a “disgrace.”

In response, the Adani Group condemned the new Hindenburg allegations as “malicious,” “mischievous,” and “manipulative.” SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch also rejected the claims, calling them “baseless” and an attempt at “character assassination.”
