TDP Cheif N Chandrababu Naidu Arrested by Andhra Cops in Corruption Case.

TDP Chief N Chandrababu was arrested in an alleged scam of 317 crores.

N Chandrababu who is the chief of TDP (Telugu Desam Party) and former CM of Andra Pradesh was arrested today over an alleged scam of 317 crores. He is shifted to Vijayawada by the officials. The scam was in the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation during his tenure. This body is responsible for providing skill training to youngsters. 

He was taken into custody this morning by CID officers post-drama of midnight. Last night, the officers reached the function hall at Nadyal along with a warrant to arrest the chief. 

Drama during the arrest

TDP officers did not allow the same. Later TDP Chief said that cops had no evidence. “Show me where my name is. How can they arrest me without basic evidence?” Also, some conversational drama took place between the cops and his supporters. 

The supporters started to put forth questions to the cops. They responded by saying that they were here with evidence and a remand report that contained all the details regarding everything.

Arrest Details

A notice from a senior officer at CID’s Economic Offenses said: “It is to inform you that you have been arrested… at 6 am at R K Function Hall, Gnanapuram, H/o Moolasagaram, Nandyala town and it is a non-bailable offense.”

The TDP has been charged under sections for cheating, criminal conspiracy, and dishonestly. Also, it includes inducing delivery of property and 465. It means that the Prevention of Corruption Act has been invoked.

Later after the arrest, a post was made on his official X Account stating, “No force on earth can stop me from serving Telugu people”.

Thus, all this follows after he claims that he might be arrested soon in which his words were:

“Today or tomorrow they could arrest me. They may even attack me. Not one, they will do many atrocities.”
