Netflix and YRF Entertainment’s emotional drama series The Railway Men has moved viewers globally, now ranking 3rd on Netflix’s Top Non-English TV Shows list.

Set in the aftermath of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, India’s worst industrial disaster, The Railway Men tells the inspiring story of railway workers who saved thousands of lives when poisonous gas leaked from a Union Carbide plant.
“It’s incredibly humbling to see the series trending in 36 countries. It speaks to the universal appeal of the heroism and humanity portrayed,” said debutant director Shiv Rawail.
With a star-studded cast including R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu, and Babil Khan, the series pays tribute to regular people who rose up to face extraordinary challenges.
“Being part of The Railway Men wasn’t just about playing a character; in many ways, it was our tribute to those unsung heroes,” said lead actor R Madhavan.
From script to screen, the emotional drama has resonated with audiences worldwide for its earnest portrayal of courage and resilience in times of tragedy.
As The Railway Men continues finding admirers across borders in its second week now, the partnership between entertainment giants Netflix and YRF seems to have struck the right chord with their maiden offering itself.
“We poured our hearts into every scene, and the whole experience was a transformative ride,” said Madhavan, expressing pride in the collective achievement of the cast and crew.
