Rashmika Condemns Deepfakes, Urges Women To Speak Up Against Such Violations

At the ‘Animal’ promotions in Hyderabad, actress Rashmika Mandanna strongly denounced the creation of deepfake videos that have violated her and other female stars’ privacy.

Rashmika, whose deepfake clip went viral earlier, said people have shockingly normalized such non-consensual AI imagery. However, it is far from okay. She expressed gratitude for support after her disturbing episode.

Her timely comments come as a vulgar deepfake video of Alia Bhatt circulated recently on social media. Rashmika pointed out that women across industries are falling prey to such harassment.

She stressed that victims should find the courage to speak up when accosted by such situations. Staying silent only lets the crime fester. Rashmika wants more women to call out offenses rather than trivialize them, preventing such normalized further such normalized violations.

The defiant statement marks an encouraging stance against the unchecked proliferation of realistic deepfakes that Indian female celebrities are battling. Beyond reputational impacts, such imagery also enables further unethical leaks and privacy breaches.

By boldly addressing the sensitive issue on a public platform, Rashmika has sounded the alarm on the urgent need for safeguards against exploitative deepfake practices. Her call for collective women’s voices to shame creators and regulators into action carries weight in the larger battle ahead.
