Amit Shah Flags Off ‘Run for Unity’
In New Delhi, a special ceremony took place at Patel Chowk, where President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with other dignitaries, paid floral tributes to the statue of Sardar Patel. The birth anniversary is observed as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Divas’ and is marked by a ‘Run for Unity’ rally, which Amit Shah flagged off from the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in the national capital. The flagging off was accompanied by a Unity oath.

Amit Shah highlighted Sardar Patel’s immense contribution to national unity, emphasizing that he played a pivotal role in unifying India after gaining independence from British rule.
