On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary, known as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Divas,’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the iconic leader. He acknowledged Sardar Patel’s unwavering commitment to national integration, a legacy that continues to inspire and guide the nation.

PM Modi Attends Special Event in Gujarat

To honor this occasion, Prime Minister Modi participated in a thrilling event organized by CRPF’s women personnel at the Statue of Unity near Kevadia, Gujarat. It is worth noting that the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was established based on the vision of Sardar Patel, who is considered the founding figure of CRPF. The event also featured performances by artists from villages along the India-China border.

Amit Shah Flags Off ‘Run for Unity’

In New Delhi, a special ceremony took place at Patel Chowk, where President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with other dignitaries, paid floral tributes to the statue of Sardar Patel. The birth anniversary is observed as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Divas’ and is marked by a ‘Run for Unity’ rally, which Amit Shah flagged off from the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in the national capital. The flagging off was accompanied by a Unity oath.

A Tribute to Sardar Patel’s Contribution to National Unity

Amit Shah highlighted Sardar Patel’s immense contribution to national unity, emphasizing that he played a pivotal role in unifying India after gaining independence from British rule. Sardar Patel’s efforts brought together the various princely states that were divided during the British colonial era.

Rajnath Singh Celebrates in Uttar Pradesh

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh participated in the ‘Run for Unity’ rally in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, where he announced the upcoming launch of ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ by Prime Minister Modi. This program, ‘Mera Yuva Bharat,’ is set to provide opportunities for the youth to actively engage in nation-building.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Pays Tribute

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 148th birth anniversary. He hailed Sardar Patel as the “Iron Man of India,” the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister, former Congress President, and a source of inspiration. Kharge lauded Sardar Patel for uniting the nation in a spirit of unity and integrity.
