Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a special session of the parliament, emphasizing that although it may be brief, it holds great significance. He pointed out two significant achievements for India, namely the Chandrayaan moon landing and the G20.
“The unprecedented success of GSLV Mk III-M1 is a celebration of India’s diversity,” PM Modi stated. He also highlighted the success of the G20 and the positive message it conveyed about India’s future.
Special Parliament Session
PM Modi stressed that this session marks the beginning of a new journey for India as the country celebrates its 75-year journey of independence. He emphasized the prevailing enthusiasm and self-confidence across the nation.
While acknowledging the session’s short duration, PM Modi emphasized its significance and described it as a session of historic decisions. He urged all Members of Parliament to make the most of their time during this session.
“I urge all Members of Parliament to make the most of their time. Let us meet in an environment of enthusiasm and excitement. Complaining and criticism take a lot of time. There are some moments in life that fill you with enthusiasm, I see this session in that way.”

About the Session
He reassured that although the session is short, it holds immense value. PM Modi also invoked the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, stating that Lord Ganesh, the remover of obstacles, symbolizes the country’s unhindered journey towards development.
The five-day “Amrit Kaal” session of parliament will include discussions on the evolution of India’s parliamentary democracy. Additionally, eight bills are listed for discussion during this session.
