BTS Label HYBE Opens Auditions in India for ‘Next Global Star’; Fans Celebrate ‘Dream Come True’ Moment

BTS agency HYBE has officially announced the HYBE India audition, marking its entry into India’s talent ecosystem as part of its global artist discovery expansion. The announcement was made on Tuesday, with the launch video and official poster shared on X, previously known as Twitter.

HYBE India is set to adapt its well-known artist development system for the Indian market. The company, which has created globally successful acts like BTS and KATSEYE, plans to bring its training and talent-building model to India. The audition process will begin on March 31.

Sharing the update on X, HYBE India posted, “The wait is over. HYBE India Audition is here. The search for the next generation of artists starts now. From here to global.” In another post featuring a video, the company said it is looking for talented individuals from India who have the passion and drive to grow, calling it an opportunity for aspiring artists to step forward.

The audition aims to discover talent from India as well as the Indian diaspora. It will take place through both online and offline formats. In-person auditions are scheduled in several cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.

BookMyShow has been roped in as the ticketing partner. The initiative will include a mix of on-ground activations, retail experiences, and digital participation. More details about timelines, eligibility, and participation are expected to be announced soon.

Fans reacted enthusiastically to the announcement on social media. One user expressed excitement about seeing Bengaluru included in the list of cities. Another shared a lighthearted comment about auditioning with their mother despite their age, saying it had always been their dream. Several others described the opportunity as a dream come true and said they were eager to participate, while some also hoped for future collaborations with BTS.

Selected participants will get the chance to enter HYBE’s training and production system, which focuses on performance, creative development and global storytelling. The program aims to nurture artists who can represent India on an international stage.
