iQOO has entered India’s 2025 flagship smartphone market with the iQOO 15, competing directly against recently launched OnePlus 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro. All three devices feature premium specifications at similar price points, creating challenging purchase decisions for Android flagship buyers.
Design Philosophy
The iQOO 15 maintains evolutionary design from its predecessor, refining its camera module while retaining RGB lighting and adopting flat frames. OnePlus 15 implements significant design changes, replacing its large circular camera cutout with a sleek square design. Realme GT 8 Pro distinguishes itself through a unique swappable camera module system, enabling users to alter the phone’s appearance and camera module shape, though this approach may prove polarizing.
Performance Architecture
All three devices utilize Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The iQOO 15 incorporates a dedicated Q3 gaming chip for enhanced gaming performance. Realme GT 8 Pro features both an R1 gaming chip and Hyper Vision AI chip for artificial intelligence capabilities. OnePlus 15 employs the OnePlus Performance Tri-Chip system designed to optimize gameplay, connectivity, and visual smoothness.
Display Technology
Realme GT 8 Pro offers a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 6,000 nits peak brightness. OnePlus 15 features a 1.5K AMOLED panel with faster 165Hz refresh rate. The iQOO 15 debuts a 6.85-inch 2K flat Samsung M14 AMOLED panel with 6,000 nits peak brightness.
Camera Systems
Camera specifications represent key differentiators. Both iQOO 15 and OnePlus 15 employ triple 50-megapixel camera setups, with OnePlus utilizing its DetailMax imaging engine. Realme debuts a partnership with camera manufacturer Ricoh, distinguishing itself with a 200-megapixel telephoto lens compared to competitors’ 50-megapixel units.
Battery Capacity
Battery sizes show significant year-over-year increases across flagships. iQOO 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro pack 7,000mAh batteries, with iQOO supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, while Realme offers 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. OnePlus 15 features the largest 7,300mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
Pricing
OnePlus 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro launched at identical Rs 72,999 starting prices for base variants. iQOO 15 pricing remains unannounced pending official launch.
