Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong defense message on Wednesday during his 75th birthday celebrations in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district, asserting India’s resilience against nuclear threats while highlighting the success of Operation Sindoor against terror camps.

Addressing a public gathering, PM Modi declared: “This is new India. It is not scared of anyone. The Indian forces can enter houses to bring down enemies. New India is not afraid of nuclear threats.” His remarks appeared to reference recent warnings from Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir about nuclear escalation and threats to “take down half the world” if Pakistan faced existential threats in future conflicts with India.

Further, PM Modi emphasized Operation Sindoor’s effectiveness, stating: “We obliterated terror launch pads during Operation Sindoor. The Jaish terrorists exposed Pakistan.” He cited Jaish-e-Mohammed’s acknowledgment of losses in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir as evidence exposing Islamabad’s role in sponsoring terrorism against India.
PM Modi’s comments followed revelations by high-ranking JeM member Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, who claimed outfit chief Maulana Masood Azhar’s family was “torn apart by Indian forces in Bahawalpur” during Operation Sindoor.
Development Initiatives Launched during rally
Beyond security matters, the PM inaugurated several significant projects, including laying the foundation stone for India’s first Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park. The facility, spanning 2,158 acres in Bhainsola village, represents one of seven planned textile manufacturing hubs across Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
“Crores of mothers and sisters in India have been blessing me. The country’s largest integrated textile park in Dhar will provide new energy to industry and fair value to farmers’ produce,” he stated.
He also launched the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar’ campaign, focusing on women’s health through mental health support, gender equity, and adolescent anemia management, running until October 2 at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
Historical Significance
PM Modu highlighted the day’s historical importance, referencing Hyderabad Liberation Day: “On this day in 1948, Sardar Patel’s steely willpower was seen when our army liberated Hyderabad and restored India’s pride.” September 17, 1948, marks the merger of the erstwhile Hyderabad State under Nizam’s rule with the Indian Union.
This marked Modi’s second birthday visit to Madhya Pradesh since 2022.
