Indian comedian Vir Das will make history as the first Indian host of the International Emmy Awards, set to take place on November 25 in New York City. The prestigious event, hosted at the New York Hilton Midtown, promises a celebration of global television excellence.

The ceremony will feature 56 nominees from 21 countries, competing across 14 categories including Drama Series, Comedy, Documentary, and various specialized programming segments. This year’s nominations highlight the international scope of contemporary television production.

Notable Indian representation includes the critically acclaimed series ‘The Night Manager’, which was nominated in the Best Drama Series category. The show, which stars Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sobhita Dhulipala, underscores India’s growing prominence in international television.

When and Where to watch it LIVE

The event will be live-streamed globally. US viewers can access the ceremony from 5 pm to 11 pm EST, and Indian audiences can stream it from 3:30 am to 9:30 am IST on November 26 via Emmys.tv.

Das’s hosting role marks a personal achievement and represents a significant moment of recognition for Indian talent in the global entertainment landscape.
