Punjab’s push for industrial transformation under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann continues to gather momentum, with the government’s progressive and investor-oriented policies beginning to yield strong results. A high-level Japanese delegation met Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan today and expressed keen interest in investing significantly in the state’s industrial sector, marking another major milestone in Punjab’s journey toward economic expansion and global collaboration.
The visiting team comprised Shintaro Hachiga, CEO, and Takamasa Suji, COO of Japan’s renowned firm Fit Founder Co. Ltd. Both leaders shared their company’s intent to contribute to Punjab’s developmental vision. During the interaction, Speaker Sandhwan assured them that Punjab, once recognized primarily as an agricultural powerhouse, is now rapidly transforming into a vibrant hub of industry, innovation, and enterprise.
Highlighting the government’s efforts to make investment seamless and transparent, Sandhwan lauded Punjab’s comprehensive industrial policy framework. He emphasized that the ‘Invest Punjab’ platform has revolutionized the state’s business environment by offering a single-window system for investors. The mechanism guarantees all necessary approvals within 45 days, reflecting the administration’s dedication to efficiency and ease of doing business.
Sandhwan further said that Punjab’s open and pro-investment environment provides global investors with ample opportunities to grow and collaborate. He also spoke about the ‘Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit,’ which acts as a bridge between the government and investors, fostering continued dialogue and promoting domestic as well as international partnerships.
The meeting stands as a testament to Punjab’s growing global appeal. The increasing interest from Japanese companies not only reflects confidence in the state’s policies but also signals the dawn of a new phase of job creation and industrial growth. With such collaborations, Punjab is steadily moving closer to realizing its vision of a dynamic, prosperous, and self-reliant ‘Rangla Punjab.’
