On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann appointed 92 individuals to lead and support planning boards across various districts in the state.
In a post on X, the chief minister shared the official order, confirming the selection of 13 chairpersons and 79 members to district-level planning bodies. He explained that the move is intended to boost development efforts across Punjab and to ensure that government schemes are implemented more effectively based on the specific needs of each region.
Congratulating the appointees, Mann welcomed them as part of the Rangla Punjab team. He expressed confidence that they would approach their roles with commitment and work toward the growth and betterment of the state.
An official statement highlighted that the government’s focus remains on delivering public welfare initiatives to all eligible citizens in a fair and inclusive manner. Many of those appointed are known to have ties with the current ruling party.
