Prime Minister Narendra Modi orchestrated the distribution of approximately 51,000 appointment letters to fresh recruits during the Rozgar Mela, a nationwide employment fair held across 46 locations.

The event spanned various central government departments as well as state governments and union territories (UTs), underscoring the government’s commitment to prioritize employment generation and youth empowerment.

Empowering India’s Youth

In a virtual address during the Rozgar Mela, Prime Minister Modi extended his congratulations to the newly appointed recruits. He also emphasized the government’s commitment to opening new avenues for women in the workforce.

He also highlighted the significance of the newly inaugurated Parliament building in shaping India’s future. The recent passage of the “Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam” (Women’s Reservation Bill) further exemplified the government’s dedication to empowering women.

Women Leading the Way

The Prime Minister celebrated the pivotal role of women in effecting change across various domains. He spoke on how they are energizing the nation with their fresh perspectives and determination. He underscored India’s aspiration to evolve into a developed nation by 2047. Later he also praised the accomplishments of Indian women, from space to sports.

Wide-Ranging Recruitment

The Rozgar Mela facilitated recruitment in numerous Ministries and Departments, encompassing the Department of Posts, the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the Department of Atomic Energy, the Department of Revenue, the Department of Higher Education, the Ministry of Defence, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, among others. This expansive recruitment drive aimed to bolster the government’s workforce and provide meaningful employment opportunities to the nation’s youth.

In addition to recruitment, the government is committed to enhancing the skills and capabilities of its newly appointed personnel. The appointees have access to Karmayogi Prarambh, an online learning module available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. This platform offers over 680 e-learning courses, enabling flexible learning from any device. The training opportunities align with the government’s goal of fostering a skilled and empowered workforce.

A Legacy of Rozgar Melas

The concept of the Rozgar Mela was launched in 2022 as part of a larger initiative to provide 10 lakh government jobs. Prime Minister Modi’s unwavering commitment to employment generation was demonstrated in August when he distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited personnel. This drive encompassed multiple central armed police forces, including the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and the Delhi Police.
