Bhojpuri cinema’s prominent actors-turned-politicians Manoj Tiwari and Dinesh Lal Yadav “Nirahua” stated Bihar’s political atmosphere is “charged with positivity,” with women voters particularly driving change as the state conducts assembly elections.
Positive Campaign Environment
“The atmosphere is very positive, full of energy and hope,” BJP MP and actor-singer Manoj Tiwari told the media. “There’s a sense that Bihar is about to take flight again, with strong support for the NDA. The public’s sentiment, especially that of women, is remarkable. They come to rallies with their children, sit on the ground, or stand at the back just to listen.”
Campaign Strategy Defense
Nirahua, former MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh, dismissed suggestions BJP needed “outside reinforcements” for campaigning: “That’s completely wrong. The BJP fights every election, big or small, with full force. Whether it’s a local body, assembly, or parliamentary election, we don’t treat any contest as insignificant.”
He added: “We never want to look back and say, ‘We could’ve done more.’ Every election matters because under Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s leadership, we are all working toward one goal: to make India a developed nation.”
Development Claims
Tiwari highlighted NDA achievements: “Look at Bihar today — shining roads, 24-hour electricity, major bridges reducing distances, industries coming in. Earlier, Bihar was dark; today, it’s glowing.”
He cited Digha, Bakhtiyarpur, and Simaria bridges as connectivity examples, stating: “Earlier, we used to say softly, ‘Just near the UP border.’ Now we proudly say, ‘We’re from Bihar.'”
Opposition to ‘Jungle Raj’
Responding to Opposition charges about exaggerating “jungle raj,” Nirahua described past conditions: “There was a time when if a poor man tried to build a house, he was extorted, and if he refused, acid was poured on him.
The NDA has cleaned up that jungle raj and made Bihar beautiful.”
Political Rivalries
On Bhojpuri actor Khesari Lal Yadav now supporting Opposition after previously backing Tiwari, the BJP MP stated: “Until recently, he was all about saying ‘Ram Ram,’ and now he’s aligned with those who are anti-Ram.”
Addressing Rahul Gandhi’s “vote theft” allegations, Nirahua remarked: “Whenever they lose, they say there’s rigging. When they win, everything’s fine.”
