Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is reportedly filming additional scenes for the climax of Singham Again, which will feature a theatrical set-up with characters dressed as demons. According to a report by Mid-day, Shetty is focused on ensuring that the climax of the Ajay Devgn-led cop film, which also stars Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh, lives up to fans’ expectations.

Rohit is said to be filming these new scenes at the Golden Tobacco factory in Vile Parle, despite post-production already being underway for the Diwali release. A source shared, “Rohit is working with the secondary cast to add last-minute details to the climax. It features a grand, play-like scene with several characters dressed as rakshasas (demons), giving the film a folk element.”
On the first day of filming, a crowd of around 500 people gathered at the Vile Parle set. The source continued, “A large stage has been constructed, and Rohit is shooting an elaborate performance that will be a key part of the climax. Ajay, who plays Bajirao Singham, is expected to join the shoot in the coming days. The scene required a large crowd, so the production team involved some of the onlookers in the shot. Filming is expected to continue until September 11.”

This film marks the fifth installment in Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe and serves as a sequel to Singham Returns (2014). In addition to Ajay, the film stars Akshay Kumar (reprising his role from Shetty’s 2021 film Sooryavanshi) and Ranveer Singh (returning as his character from the 2018 film Simmba). Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor also join the ensemble cast, along with Jackie Shroff, Shweta Tiwari, Dayanand Shetty, Siddhartha Jadhav, and Ashutosh Rana.
Singham Again is slated for a Diwali 2024 release. Originally announced in September 2017 under the working title Singham 3, the film’s official title was revealed in December 2022.
