Actress Rashami Desai came out to support her friend and industry colleague Ankita Lokhande, who is currently seen on the reality show Bigg Boss 17.
In an Instagram post, Rashami offered advice and comfort to Ankita after being targeted by her mother-in-law and Vicky Jain’s mom inside the Bigg Boss house. Among other accusations, Vicky’s mother claimed Ankita uses her late ex Sushant Singh Rajput’s name to gain sympathy.
Sharing a throwback photo with Ankita, Rashami praised her fearless attitude despite the ups and downs. “You have earned everything with your hard work and perseverance. Stay the way you are, I love you for being you,” she wrote.
Rashami also urged Vicky’s mother to avoid fuelling tensions outside the show. “Aunty, I understand you may feel bad but Vicky and Ankita are my friends. They are Bigg Boss contestants – please don’t play games outside,” she appealed.
Rashami added she hopes both families will understand the reality show dynamics and let the couple handle things maturely. “Life is still left ahead,” she reminded.
In the episode in question, Vicky’s mother was invited inside the Bigg Boss house where she met her son and daughter-in-law. Her conversation tackling the problems in Vicky and Ankita’s marriage left the actress in tears.
Many fans and celebs like Rashami have since come out to show solidarity with Ankita as she tackles personal attacks amid her ongoing Bigg Boss 17 stint. The drama looks set to intensify in upcoming episodes.
