‘I Hear Only Praise’: Aamir Khan Congratulates Dhurandhar 2 Team, Says He Hasn’t Seen It Yet

Dhurandhar 2 continues its strong performance at the box office, setting new records since its release on March 19. The spy thriller has now crossed ₹1000 crore worldwide. Several prominent actors, including Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, Allu Arjun, and Rajinikanth, have watched the film and shared their appreciation on social media. Aamir Khan has also reacted to the film’s success, saying he has not seen it yet but has only heard positive feedback about it.

Speaking on the second day of the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026, Aamir said he has been hearing widespread praise for both Dhurandhar and its sequel. He noted that both films have performed exceptionally well and extended his best wishes to the entire team behind the project.

Aamir also spoke about his own film Sitaare Zameen Par, which is being showcased at the festival. He expressed happiness about its screening, especially as it coincides with the inaugural edition of the festival. He said the film, directed by Prasanna, is something both of them are proud of, and the festival provides a valuable opportunity to engage with audiences, particularly younger viewers.

Dhurandhar 2 serves as a follow up to the 2025 hit Dhurandhar, which released in December last year. The original film followed Hamza as he infiltrates a Baloch gang in Lyari, Pakistan, to dismantle a terror network. The sequel explores the backstory of Jaskirat and how circumstances led him to become Hamza. The film features performances by Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Pandor, among others, reprising their roles. The first installment earned ₹1300 crore worldwide and continues to run in theatres months after its release, while the sequel is expected to surpass that success.

The International Film Festival of Delhi is being organised by the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation in collaboration with the Government of Delhi, with KPMG as its knowledge partner. The festival is being held across multiple venues in New Delhi from March 25 to 31.
