Critics praised the movie for its balanced mix of mythology, drama, and superhero themes. Prasanth especially thanked the family audience for making ‘HanuMan’ a festival release.
The epic scale of the film’s production design and visual effects have come in for appreciation as well. Made on a budget of ₹40 crore, the movie is now racing towards recovering nearly 7 times its investment.
Prasanth hopes to build a cinematic universe around the central character with multiple follow-up films down the line, given the overwhelming response. The film marks his career’s biggest commercial success by a huge margin.
